Terms of use

Last updated:

Agreement

These terms govern your use of the Salli Ala Muhammad mobile application and this website, both published by Kortobaa. By installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal and non-commercial use.

You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app; modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble it except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded; remove any attribution or notices; or use it in a way that breaks any applicable law.

Price

The app is free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no paid tiers. If you were charged for this app anywhere other than the official Google Play or Apple App Store listings, you did not obtain it from us.

Religious content

The app displays forms of salawat and durood upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ drawn from well-known collections and traditional scholarly works. We have taken care in preparing this content and welcome corrections at the support address.

The app is a reminder tool. It is not a source of religious rulings and is not a substitute for scholarly guidance. If you notice any error in the text, please write to us and we will correct it in the next release.

Reliability of reminders

Reminders depend on your device's operating system. Android manufacturers apply their own battery-saving and background-process rules, and iOS budgets widget and notification refreshes at its own discretion. We use every reasonable mechanism available to keep reminders running, but we cannot guarantee that a reminder will always appear at a particular moment.

You should not rely on the app as the sole means of remembering any time-critical obligation.

Provided as is

The app is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, arising out of your use of or inability to use the app.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Third-party stores

Your download is also governed by the terms of Google Play or the Apple App Store. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and have no obligation to provide support for the app. Where you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms as the app develops; the date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.

You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or discontinue the app, in whole or in part, at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection law of the country where you live.
